Last Updated 24 December 2010, 18:18 IST

“Former chief minister H D Kumarswamy is the son of former prime minister and an experienced politician. I am too meek for him. Kumaraswamy can let the cat out his bag at the Assembly session in connection with various scandals of his government. I am ready to answer on the floor of the house”, he said in a tone heavily laced with sarcasm.

He was speaking to press persons after participating in the election campaign at Dudda village in Mandya district on Friday.  The Chief Minister said that he never passed ‘light’ remarks against former chief minister S M Krishna in connection with denotification of land during his tenure.

“The former chief minister had written a letter to me as he had an impression to that effect. However, I would reply to his letter shortly, he said.

In a letter written to United Progressive Alliance Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi by him recently. “I have mentioned that denotification of 4,466 acres of land had occurred during the tenure of former chief minister S M Krishna and a lot of irregularities also took place. Every chief minister has denotified the land according to the needs of the industrial development, but S M Krishna had denotifed excess land.

Even former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah who were the opposition leaders during Krishna’s tenure opposed the denotification of land of SMK and even these leaders printed the chargesheet against SMK and distributed to  people.I had asked Sonia Gandhi not to heed to the advise of congress sychophants in connection with denotification of land,” he added.
