Last Updated 25 December 2010, 17:44 IST

The documents to prove the allegations were available and the Centre should hold an inquiry into corruption, either by the CBI or Enforcement Directorate (ED), he demanded.
Gowda released a compendium of documents pertaining to alleged corruption charges levelled against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa. The compendium is titled - “Mahabharat Yuddha against Mahabrashtachar.” He claimed the compendium carried documents to support allegations of corruption to the tune of Rs one lakh crore.

It carries a copy of the affidavit filed by the State Government in court, which states irregularities in land acquisition for Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project, allotment of BDA sites to kith and kin of Yeddyurappa, alleged illegal mining and illegal denotification of land acquired by BDA.

Gowda said Governor H R Bhardwaj had written to the Chief Minister that his Cabinet consisted six corrupt ministers. The Governor had written the letter only after going through authentic documents to support the allegations.

He said the land scam in Karnataka was bigger in magnitude compared to 2G spectrum scam.
