Hinduism does not require the saffron organisation and its leaders for its survival, he said while speaking to reporters here on Saturday.

He said that the Hindutva is a political concept. Hindutva slogans proclaimed by the BJP, RSS and other saffron organisation leaders have nothing to do with a true Hindu religion, which has a glorious past of over 5,000 years. In fact, in a democratic country like India, constitution is our religion, he added.

Terming Pravin Togadia and Pramod Muthalik as the Osama Bin Ladens of the country, he said these two leaders are not engaged in constructive work in the country.

He said the BJP which came to power claiming that it is a party with difference, was involved only in various scams. Karnataka, which was considered as a model state has lost its reputation when the BJP-led state government began to follow the footsteps of the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh governments.

Stating that Karnataka is known for corruption, he said that the Padmapriya, Halappa and the Renukacharya cases have completely spoiled the reputation of the State.
Flaying the BJP National President Nithin Gadkari’s support to the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Hariprasad said that Gadkari had celebrated his son’s marriage grandly from the money which was given by the CM. Corruption and nepotism have become order of the day. The BJP do not show respect to the constitution and the judiciary, he said.

Hindu samajotsava
He said that the Hindu Samajotsava is observed when the election is announced in the country to gain Hindu votes. Without the election, no one remembers Hindu Samajotsava.

He alleged that the BJP leaders created Nira Radia when the NDA government was ruling the country. The BJP is filled with corrupt leaders and the voters of the State will teach a lesson to them. To a query on the BJP leaders flaying the Governor, he said that the Governor has been functioning within the framework of the Constitution.
