3 held with fake CBI IDs

Syed Arman from Kolkata, Premal Chandulal and Neepa of Ahmadabad were arrested when they were moving suspiciously on HMT Road near Kamath Hotel in Jalahalli on Wednesday.
The police recovered fake FD receipt of the Bank of India, Mandvi branch, Mumbai, for Rs 14 crore from Syed Arman, another FD receipt of Bank of India, Vashi Navi Mumbai branch, for Rs 4.99 crore, CBI wing anti-corruption and crime prevention council’s identity card from Chandulal and fake identity card of an officer of anti-corruption and crime prevention council from Neepa. Their aides, Rangarajan and Aslum in Tamil Nadu, fabricated the documents. The suspects are remanded in police custody till December 27.

Student arrested
Peenya police have arrested Lalan Kumar Chaurasiya from T Dasarahalli on charge of murdering a woman.

According to the police, Lalan Kumar from Bihar was pursuing MCA course in Acharya Polytechnic College in Soladevanahalli. Lalan had an affair with Lalita Kumari, a married woman. When she became more demanding, Lalan Kumar decided to get rid of her and murdered her, police said.

The CCB detectives arrested G Madesh (39) of N R Colony and recovered more than 50 documents including blank cheques, stamp papers, agreement letters, two cars, a cellphone and Rs two lakh cash, all worth Rs 27 lakh. He used to lend money without obtaining licence from the government, at a high rate of interest and hired rowdies and goons to recover the money.
