Women in bars: Court dismisses application

In their petition, they had stated that despite a High Court order allowing women to serve liquor, the officers of the Excise Department had not given them permission to do so. However, no officers were specified in the application, nor were they termed as respondents.

Dismissing the petition, Justice Ramamohan Reddy observed that all the allegations were verbal and had no documentary evidence to back it. Hence, he deemed that the petition could not be taken into consideration.
