Maa Nithya Supriyananda or Pushpa said the police had not yet registered an FIR based on her complaint. She claimed that when she went to the Ramanagara SPs office, she overheard one of the police personnel speaking to Lenin over the phone in Tamil.

“The policeman addressed him by name and spoke to him and said something. This shows that the police are biased and are not registering the FIR on my complaint.” she said at a press conference on Friday.

Police sources on Thursday told Deccan Herald that the complaint was treated as a petition as they suspected foul play in the complaint.

The police’s suspicion stems from the very contents of the complaint according to which Lenin allegedly threatened Supriyananda while she “was walking towards the bus stop on the Bangalore-Mysore highway along with two other Nithyananda devotees at about 8 am” on December 30. When the police tried to verify Lenin’s location, they found that he was in Chennai and not present in Bangalore or anywhere near Nithyananda’s Bidadi ashram over the past seven days.
