BJP in talks with parties for post-poll alliance: Rajnath

BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Thursday said his party is engaged in talks with several parties about a post-poll alliances to form the government at Centre.

"If by any chance we fall short of majority, talks are going on with many parties. Right now we are assured that the BJP-led NDA government will be formed and L K Advani will be the Prime Minister," Singh said.

Rajnath claimed that the trends after the first three phases of polling are coming in favour of the BJP.

"As per trends coming out from different places so far, BJP will emerge as the single largest party and NDA will get the clear majority," he said, adding he is "cent percent" confident about his victory in Ghaziabad from where he is contesting the polls.

"In Ghaziabad Congress and BSP are fighting for the second position as my victory is certain from this seat," he said.

He said other party candidates in Uttar Pradesh are also doing well in their respective constituencies.
