The ATM located at the back of the State Bank of India branch, Malagala Road, was targeted by burglars who broke open its window grill.
While the security guard, who had fallen asleep, failed to notice it, the siren frightened the burglars, who ran away in no time. Later, the security guard lodged a complaint with the Jnanabharathi police.
