A trip down memory lane

GLAD The alumni of MVJCE.

The meet provided the alumni an opportunity to share and rekindle old memories recalling their heydays at the college.  It also brought the alumni, students and faculty of MVJ together. Some of the former students shared their experiences about the college and what an impact it has had on their careers.

Said Robert from the 1982 batch, “It has been both an emotional as well as a joyful moment for all of us. The campus has grown tremendously since our times. Our batch was the first engineering batch at MVJCE and we are very happy to see the positive changes that have happened at the campus. Our college is undoubtedly one of the best engineering colleges in Karnataka today.”

Nagarjuna, a civil engineer from the 1985 batch, who was instrumental in organising the meet said, “Most of us are placed in very good positions in various companies and we owe it to MVJCE for the role it played in our respective careers.”

All the participants were positive that the alumni could play an active role in the growth and development of MVJCE and shared that they will do their best to support the current students when it came to placements and networking.

Noted Balachander, Chairman, MVJ College, “Our college can boast of many illustrious alumni who are leaders in corporate houses across various industries. We are pleased with the response to this alumni meet and plan to make it a mega event every year. We are also delighted to know that most of the alumni have come forward and shown interest in supporting the college and students for placements and are keen to share their experiences with the students in helping them make career choices.”

Dr Girish, Principal, MVJ College shared, “After the success of our alumni meet, we are pleased to inform that our next alumni meet will be held on May 14 and we expect over 1200 alumni to participate with their families.”
