HUL reported a 1.79 per cent decline in its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, at Rs 637.51-crore due to high input cost inflation in the soaps and detergents segment.
The company’s total income during the third quarter of the current fiscal, however, increased by 12.12 per cent to Rs 5,127.71-crore from Rs 4,573.23-crore in the year-ago period.
