Flower show attracts public
Organised jointly by Zilla Panchayat, Horticulture Department and District Horticulture Association, the show was inaugurated by City Municipal Council President M P Arunkumar here on Tuesday.
Hundreds of school students, farmers, residents participated in the programme. Various types of flowers captivated the visitors.
Musical fountain
The musical fountain enthralled the small children, which has been set up in the show was a show stealer with people gathering around it mesmerised over the beauty coupled with sound.
Stalls
Stalls on gardening, ornamental flowers and horticulturists displaying ginger and ashgourd were put up at the Flower Show. A few had shown flowers created using mobiles at the stalls.
Home Minister R Ashoka, MLAs M Srinivas, K B Chandrashekar, C S Puttaraju were absent from the inauguration. Deputy Commissioner Dr P C Jaffer, ZP CEO G Jayaram, Senior Assistant Horticulture Director D Manjunath and other officials were also present during the inauguration.
