Mallakhamb contest from tomorrow

This was announced by district incharge Minister C M Udasi at a press conference, after hoisting the tricolour at the Republic Day celebrations in the City on Wednesday.

The competition is part of the Haveri Zilla Utsav scheduled to be held from Jan 29. As many as 18 teams, including those from Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry are taking part in the contest. The competition will be held in the junior and senior categories for both men and women. Each team will have 16 members, two trainers and a manager. More than 400 contestants are participating.
