JOIN USThe workshop will be held at the City Municipal Council office premises. The programme is divided into two sessions. The participants will be enlightened on the problems and challenges encountered in implementing the scheme, the role of various departments and the legal aspects in effective implementation of NREG, in the first session.
During the second session in the afternoon, Horticulture Officer Lavanya will speak on ways and means to achieve progress in Horticulture activities under the scheme; Taluk Watershed Development Officer Rajanna will speak on construction of ridges and agri ponds; Engineer Somanna will speak on construction of check dams, minor tanks and gokatte and desilting of waterbodies and Range Forest Officer Srinivas will deliver a talk on plantation and forest cultivation.
District and Sessions Judge Mohan Sripad Sankolli will inaugurate the programme, to be presided over by Taluk Panchayat executive officer K V Reddappa. Zilla Panchayat CEO N Krishnappa, Taluk Bar Association president P C Narayana Reddy and senior advocate Srinath will take part.
