Labh Singh also hit the woman with a rod that resulted in the death of Jaswinder.Later, the accused told the police that Jaswinder had been kidnapped by some people who had come in a car.<br /><br />But when the police reached the scene, they recovered the her body from a nearby field.<br />The police said that they had recovered the sword and the rod used in the murder.<br />During the hearing, the woman's father Mohan Singh alleged that her in-laws had demanded Rs 50,000 from them.After hearing arguments, the court today awarded life sentence to father and son under Aection 302/ 34 of the IPC.The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the two.</p>
