Indian to serve as MDRT member

 In MDRT’s 82 year history, Shetty is the first MDRT member from India to serve as a Divisional Vice President (DVP). Shetty, a native of Chikmagalur in Karnataka, is a 12-year Round Table member with three court of the table and five top of the table honours and has been a member on a total of 11 MDRT committees/task forces.

 “Serving as the Membership Communications Divisional Vice-President is my opportunity to give back what this wonderful organisation given me,” said Shetty, after his appointment. He is a leading life insurance and well-known income tax practitioner in Mumbai. He earned a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation from the ‘American College’. He has also qualified for the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) exclusive Corporate Club of Agents and has been a member of the Chairman’s Club for Agents since 2000. 

MDRT is an international, independent association of more than 31,000 of the world’s best life insurance and financial services professionals from 84 nations and territories.
