The entire Malayalam film fraternity is descending on Bangalore on February 26 for a mega star-studded, four-hour music and dance night at 6.30 pm on February 27 in Palace Grounds.

Artistes from the Malayalam film industry such as Mammootty, Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Dilip, Nayanthara, Meera Jasmine, Bhavana and many others will be performing.

The event has been conceptualised and put together by Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and Surya TV. They are supported by the Karnataka Nair Service Society.
Rehearsals for the programme will start on February 20 at Cochin and there will be a rehearsal here on February 26.

The programme is woven around the theme of the Navarasas or nine rasas. There will be fusion dances, skits and dance drama.

“The stars will perform and most of them, barring one or two artistes have consented to be here in the City. AMMA has called off shooting for nine days until the programme is over,” said Vijay Babu, vice president, programme of the Surya TV of the Sun Group and added, “prominent artistes from the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu film industry will be invited for the show.”

The proceeds of the show will be used for the construction of an old-age centre in the City. An amount will also be donated to 50 selected artistes of yesteryears from the Malayalam film industry. There will be passes for entry. For details, call 23563372 and 9448511939.
