Layouts may soon breathe easy!

DC instructs MUDA, MCC to draw up a list of works to be done in residential areas

Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta on Saturday said that he has instructed both Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and Mysore City Corporation (MCC) to arrive on a consensus over creating facilities at such layouts.

Referring to the grievances received during his recent visit and ‘Janaspandana’ programme held at some of the layouts, the deputy commissioner said- MUDA has developed three layouts and private developers have designed 14.

The common demands are khata, licence for construction and completion of the buildings, underground drain, drinking water, hygiene, street lights, roads and also several other basic infrastructural facilities.

Whenever, the people place the demands, both the parties (MCC and MUDA) have been passing the buck on each other. Putting an end to this, the deputy commissioner instructed them  to prepare a check list and execute the plans after deciding it amicably.

Making it clear, the deputy commissioner stated that MUDA Commissioner is vested with rights to  hand over the layouts to MCC after assuring to take up permanent works.

The commissioners of both the bodies have to sit together for the better of future, in creating facilities for the people, the deputy commissioner said.

Aadhaar at Town Hall

Mysore City Corporation (MCC) has opened ‘Aadhaar’ counter at Town Hall, to facilitate people avail the 12 digit ID given by Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI).

A release stated that such centres have been opened at 17 places in the city. At Town Hall alone 30 computers have been fitted to meet the demand.

Hence, the people who have submitted their applications and waiting for the given time to enroll for the card, are requested to make use of the facility.
