Pakistani agent of Indian prostitute jailed in Singapore

31-year old Rashid Kashif was the Singapore contact of model-turned-prostitute Jain Pooja Manakchand, who was arrested from a hotel in a police raid, the online Straits Times reported.

The model was paid SGD 7,200 for sex by six men between February 8 and 12 at Singapore hotels. Kashif received 30 per cent of the earnings. Kashif told the court that he made contact with the model through an online advertisement, which had sought a modelling coordinator, in September last year.

Kashif said he called the contact number and talked to a man, Ahmad, who identified himself as a modelling agent based in India. He was told that Manakchad was to visit Singapore for a  photo-shoot and for prostitution.

Kasif met her at the Singapore airport on February 8 and took her to a hotel where she provided services to customers. The next day she was moved to another hotel where she was arrested in a police raid following a tip-off.

Manakchand provided details of Kashif to police. Kashif was arrested on February 12 night while he was trying to leave Singapore.
