Philosopher-reformer Basava's statue to be installed in London

To draw the attention of international tourists, a statue of "Mother Bhuvaneshwari", a source of pride and love for Kannadigas, would be installed at an appropriate place here. "An amount of Rs 25 crore would be provided for this purpose", he said.

Noting that struggling Kannada writers find it difficult to publish their writings because of financial constraints, he said Rs five crore would be provided through Kannada Sahithya Parishath in 2011-12 to publish their works
