Not a perfect match

Last Updated 25 February 2011, 17:17 IST

Tanu weds Manu is a matrimonial comedy where a London-based NRI doctor (Madhavan-Manu) comes to India in search of a bride. He meets a girl (Kangana-Tanu), and falls in love at first sight. Tanu is not the perfect girl his parents are looking for. She smokes, drinks and has a boyfriend.

Tanu is not interested in marriage. She rejects him at their first meeting and leaves no instance to insult him. Not just that, she also uses him to elope with her boyfriend (Jimmy Shergill). But Manu still loves the girl. They meet again in a marriage. The movie turns interesting at the marriage where comedy, dance and music. However, it turns boring in the second half where the script is no different from that of an old Hindi movie where the boy gets his love. The actors have done a good job but the script is not good enough to grab the audience attention till the end. The movie can be watched once, only for its good comedy. But if you are looking for a good story, then this isn’t the right choice.
