Workshop on apiculture held

He was speaking at a workshop on apiculture organised by the Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) in Edadalu in Kalasa.  He spoke on controlling diseases in areca, coffee and cardamom. “The farmers should use bordeaux mixture to control diseases affecting arecanut,” he said. 

Industrial Expansion Officer J S Somashekhar spoke on apiculture. Farmers will get additional income by undertaking apiculture as a supplement to the agriculture crops. 

SKDRDP Programme Officer Nagaratna Hegade said those who undertake apiculture should form an association. Gram Panchayat member Kavita Chandru inaugurated the programme.
