Raja Rani (32), a resident of Thindlu, was mowed down by a cement-laden lorry near Kodigehalli. She was on her way to a shop to get her pressure cooker repaired when the accident occurred. The lorry driver fled the spot after the accident, police said.
An unidentified pedestrian, suspected to be about 30 years, was knocked down by a vehicle near a motor vehicle showroom on Tumkur Road.
Man ends life
A 22-year-old daily wager allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a passenger train at the Kodigehalli railway crossing in the early hours of Sunday.
Manjunath, police said, took the extreme step on account of some misunderstanding with his father.
