Other members are Dr Parinitha (representative of women), Dr Vishalakshi, Priya, Preethi D’Souza (three women faculty members), Ashwini, Vijaykumar, Fouziya, Anil Kumar Rai (students representatives), Prof A M A Khan (teacher representative), Dr M Chandra (SC/ST representative), Kiran, Kripa (reserach scholars), Vinitha Raj (external NGO), and Latha Holla (legal expert). The cell has been formed to combat instances of violence against women and sexual harassment inside the university campus. It has been constituted as per the UGC guidelines, he added.  “Anyone with any problem related to harassment can make representation to the Cell. If they are not happy with the Cell, then they can approach the Registrar or Vice-Chancellor directly,” he said.
The VC said that the university is planning to organise a talk on sexual harassment by a retired High Court judge to sensitise the issue with the teachers and students.

To another query on students staying for late hours, he said that if the students want to stay late hours for research purpose, then they can intimate the same to the chairman of the department.
