eBay starts auction of Jeffrey Archer-autographed book

Online market place eBay India has started the auction of five autographed copies of Archer's work and the proceeds would be used for charity purpose.

The auction of book, which is available in hardback, is being done in association with Macmillan India, eBay said in a statement today.

The proceeds would go to non-profit group Room to Read India, which works towards lives of children by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.

"Supporting charity through my books is wonderful... I urge people to buy it, be different and support a good cause," Archer said.

Bidding for the copies start at Re 1 and auction is on till March 12.
Meanwhile, autographed and hard bound copies of 'Only Time Will Tell' are also available at a fixed price at Rs 5,000.

'Only Time Will Tell' narrates the story of Harry Clifton, who is the son of a war hero. His life starts in the backstreet of Bristol. It takes him 21 turbulent years to discover about his father's death.
