Big haul by North Division cops

With the arrest, the police have solved 36 vehicle theft cases, 14 attempt to theft cases, 14 theft cases, eight chain snatching cases and six animal theft cases.

4 held for drug peddling

Peenya police arrested four persons and recovered 875 gram of brown sugar worth Rs 43.75 lakh, Rs 7,100 cash and four mobile phones from them. The arrested are Suresh (25) from Mandya, Somashekhar (30), Yogish (25) and Rajesh (28) from Bundarekoppalu, Holal and Ansale villages of Mandya district respectively.

The police recently arrested them near the Peenya bus stop. They had planned to sell the contraband to college students, businessmen and employees in the IT and BT sector.
