<p>It was alleged that the Palike awarded the training contract to a few companies in violation of Transparency Act, without calling tender or following due process of law. <br /><br />Fifty per cent of the money was granted without any records. The matter was entrusted to a BBMP task force then headed by Narayana Nadumani. The task force indicted 19 officers and recommended action against them.<br /><br />In the meanwhile, a public interest litigation was filed before the High Court.
