Unfortunately, the authorities concerned have not bothered to treat the students till date. Following shortage of toilets, the students use the nearby open ground as toilet unmindful of health hazard.

The school has a good kitchen with LPG connection. But there is no supply of cylinders from the department concerned. The quality of food is also substandard. The water filters are show pieces here without utilising them by the school authorities.

Visit

The students poured out their woes before Taluk Panchayat president Gowramma Mahadevaswamy when she paid a surprise visit, on Tuesday. The school is being run in a rented building. More than ten students are suffering from skin diseases, she said.

Though the district administration has made arrangement for staff nurse, medicines are not distributed. The students are forced to use cold water to bath due to absence of hot water facility. They take bath in open ground due to shortage of bath rooms.

No text books

The education department had not supplied English, Kannada and Hindi languages textbooks to sixth standard students despite the examinations are going on.

The establishment of laboratory is still a distance dream for them. The TP president promised to fulfil all demands of students soon.
