MCC DC Dharmappa suspended

Dharmappa was serving as Commissioner of Hassan Town Municipal Council two years ago, when he was raided by Lokayukta police, following the allegations of owning properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. However, he had been later transferred to MCC as its deputy commissioner. Meanwhile, Lokayukta Police had booked a case against him and had submitted to the higher ups and the Under Secretary of Urban Development Department passed the orders of his suspension.  Acting on the orders, MCC Commissioner K S Raykar relieved Dharmappa from his duty on Tuesday.
