Mayor goes on a spree of inaugurating circles

From historical to living legends- ‘Nada Prabhu’ Kempegowda who ruled the erstwhile Bangalore, to ‘missile man’ Dr A P J Abdul Kalam who rose to the position of the President of India, several other prominent personalities came alive in the form of circles.

The outer-ring-road junction near Columbia Asia Hospital on Mysore- Bangalore Road is named after Kempegowda followed by Abdul Kalam (ORR Junction on Mysore- Nanjangud Road near APMC Yard Bandipalya), Sushameendra Theertha Sri Padamgal (Raghavendra Mutt Junction on Narayana Shastri Road), Dharmashtala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade (St Joseph’s School), former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee (Hinkal), former PM H D Deve Gowda (Bannur road) and ‘Nadoja’ De Jawaregowda (Sahitya Bhavan Road).

More circles soon

Mayor Sandesh Swamy who took media persons to the different junctions, said that the two more circles have been named after the prominent personalities and will be unveiled soon.

Deputy Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, former mayor R Purushotham, Corporators R Lingappa, B L Bhyrappa,  K T Chaluvegowda, Chief Accounts Officer Indiramma and others accompanied the Mayor during his visit.
