6 sets of nomination papers filed

With this the total number of 21 papers have been submitted for the polls. There are 15 candidates in fray.

C Venkateshappa is JD(S) candidate, M Narayanaswamy BJP and K M Narayanaswamy is Congress candidate and  Ravikumar is JD(U) candidate.

11 independents

There are 11 independent candidates in fray. Maragal Srinivas, Jayaram, K Rangaswamy, T S Krishnamurthy, S M Krishna, V Krishnamurthy, Kadaripura Dr C Mohan, Keshavamurthy, R Ramachandraiah, V A Manjunath and C B K Ram are independent candidates. 11 candidates belong to Adi Karnataka community, three belong to Bhovi community and one belong to Adi Dravida community.

Most of the contestants are from outside constituency which include BJP candidate and most of the independents.

M Narayanaswamy is resident of Kyasamballi in KGF Assembly constituency, independents Jayaramappa, Dr C Mohan, R Ramachandraiah, V A Manjunath are from Kolar taluk, Keshavamurthy is from Mulbagal, S M Krishna, C B K Rama are from Bangalore.

Except Mohan other independents are new for the constituency. Papers will be scrutinised on Thursday and Friday is the last day to withdraw nominations.

JD(U) candidate 

C Venkateshappa filled his nominations as the JD(S) candidate on Wednesday  for the polls to the Bangarpet Assembly Constituency to be held on April 9.

Party leaders Arunkumar, Sajjat and Chandrashekhar were present on the occasion.
Ravikumar of Majaraguttahalli also submitted his papers as JD(U) candidate on Wednesday.

R Ramachandraiah also submitted nomination as the JD(U) candidate, but ‘B’ form was submitted by Ravi Kumar.
