A sweet place to find solace

V V Mohalla is often envied by people for its posh houses, roads lined up with arched trees on the either side and being close to the hip 'n' happening K D Road.

Many eating joints have opened shop in the locality to cater to people from various backgrounds including foriegners and students. The only place lacking within the area was a place, where friends could spend time sipping a cup of coffee discussing the travails of the day.

Nestled amidst concrete structures, 'Just Bake' at V V Mohalla seems to be an ideal place to soothe frayed nerves and a perfect hangout. Away from the busy traffic of Temple Road, 'Just Bake' lies on HDFC Road, third main, eighth cross at V V Mohalla.

Situated close to Nirmala Convent, it has become an ideal hangout for youngters and residents of the locality to spend their evenings amidst the cool environs. Opened nine months ago, it specialises in making lip-smacking pastries, cakes, desserts, savouries and the only place where pizza's are made from an authentic Italian oven.

Speaking to City Herald, 'Just Bake' franchise owner Suresh said that the company has about 30 outlets in Bangalore, while Mysore has just one outlet. With cakes and pastries being prepared from a centralised kitchen in Bangalore, orders have to be given a day in advance, says Suresh.

With pastries ranging from   ` 400 to ` 500 per kg, buyers have a variety of options. Suresh said that they offer nearly 15 flavours of chocolate pastries alone. This apart, birthday pastries in the form of your favourite cartoons including Mickey Mouse, Tom and Jerry, Spiderman, Donald Duck, Noddy and Mr Bean are also available. For those in love with the wild, pastries with designs of rabbits, your adorable neighbourhood cats and menacing lions can also be ordered.

Open from 10 am to 10 pm, fruit pastries including Black Forest, Pineapple, Butterscotch, Black Currant, Blueberry Gateux, Lychee Gateaux, Mango Gateaux, and Orange Gateux entice make your mouth water with delight.

Pastries including Chocolate Almond, Choco Chip Pastry, Death by choc, Rum and Raisin entice visitors at 'Just Bake'. Also, customers can also give a design of their choice for making birthday cakes.
