RGUHS declares result of a student a day after the re-valuation was held. But for others result was delayed by four months.

- These are the two samples of erratic valuation by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences of the semester exams held in December 08 - January 09.  The three-member committee, constituted to hold an inquiry into alleged irregularities in evaluation had cited such many samples in its report.

Minister for medical education Ramachandra Gowda, on Monday, assured the legislative council that action will be taken against erring valuators at Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences (RGUHS). He was replying to a question by Congress member R V Venkatesh. He asked why no action had been taken yet on the inquiry report.

The report was submitted about a month ago by a three member committee chaired by the Director of Medical Education and RGUHS syndicate member Dr Aruna. The committee, which includes the Chairman of the Karnataka Medical Council, Dr Chikkananjappa had recommended that the evaluators found guilty of errors and malpractices be blacklisted and prohibited from evaluation in the future.  Gowda said that the report has been sent to the university syndicate for its reply. The department would take action against the guilty as soon as the syndicate responds to the report.  The Leader of the Opposition Ugrappa asked why the cost of re-valuation was as high as Rs 5,000 and if there was provision for a refund. Gowda clarified that the high fee was charged only in the case of challenge evaluations.
