Protesters demanded criminal case to be registered against the officials involved in irregularities, to announce beneficiaries list, action against the contractors fleecing the beneficiaries and the middle man involved in this discrepancy, inquiry into the discrepancy in cheque distributed for livestock loan.
Harohalli Ravi, Vakkaleri Rajappa, Varadenahalli, Venkatesh, Anjinappa, Srinivas, Vijaykumar, Shilangeri, Srinivas, Anand, Venkataswamy, Hanumantappa lead the protest. A memorandum was submitted to the district manager of the Corporation. He promised to take necessary action to sink borewells sanctioned for the beneficiaries of the taluk.
The protesters warned of serious action in case of failure by the officials to fulfil the promise.
