Election commission bans exit poll

Polling is scheduled to be held on April 9.

Displaying any election matter, including results of any opinion poll or any other poll survey, in any electronic media, would also be prohibited from 5 pm of April 7, under Section 126 (1)(b) of the Representation of the People’s Act, 1951, according to an official release from the Election Commission of India.
