The 21-year-old from Chennai, who was sixth quickest in the first pre-season testing at Silverstone last week, was hoping to run the day’s last session on new tyres in a bid to move up the time chart, but rains dashed his hopes

“Our plans went a bit haywire due to the rain. We had planned on just running with old tyres in both the morning sessions and experiment on a different chassis set up before switching to new tyres in the afternoon and go for a quick time,” said Armaan, who is into his third F2 season.
