Candlelight march against corruption in Delhi

Last Updated 07 April 2011, 15:39 IST

Hundreds of people -- from children to senior citizens -- walked from India Gate to the protest site at Jantar Mantar, the dharna hot spot of the capital.

This is the second evening in succession when a candlelight march was held to support Hazare, who is demanding an effective Lokpal Bill to check corruption.

"The issue is not only about Lokpal Bill. Anna Hazare has raised his voice against corruption and it has struck a chord with us," Soma, a college student who joined the march, said.

Youngsters, many with national flags, were there in large numbers at the Jantar Mantar since morning.

After the march ended, people were seen placing their candles near the fast site. Many stood at the site holding their candles in hand.
