Actress Sujatha dead

Sujatha performed in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi movies. Her Tamil debut film was K Balachandar’s ‘Aval Oru Thodarkathai.’

She acted opposite the late Sivaji Ganesan, and in the mid 1970s played heroine to both Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan, who were just starting their career at that time.

Later she branched out to character roles. She played mother to Rajnikanth in “Baba” (2002) and her most recent film, which was a big success was “Varaalaru” (2005) with Ajith Kumar.

Her last appearance on screen was for Telugu film “Sri Ramadasu” in 2006. Her Hindi films include “Do Kaliyaan” and “Ek Hi Bhool”.
