Contractors who fail to repair motors thereby affecting the functioning of borewells will be blacklisted, he said.
Though the BWSSB is receiving sufficient water, water supply to northern and eastern parts of the City are hit due to disruption in power, he added.
“If the situation worsens, the Board will resort to water rationing. Although, Bangalore South and western parts of the City do not suffer from water scarcity, they too will be subjected to rationing in case of an emergency,” he said.
The State government has asked the BWSSB to rework on hike in tariff. The Board will be submitting the revised tariff soon, said Ramamurthy.
