But the fashion world has time and again proven that wrong. Announcing their new Spring-Summer collection, a leading fashion brand for men, showcased an array of suits, trousers, t-shirts, shirts and accessories for both formal and casual occasions. Inspired by the brand’s history, the range presents silhouettes that are classic and modern.

About the collection, David Platen, the creative director, said, “This time, we have played with a lot of light colours like greens, reds and blues and contrasted them with white and linen. We also have included a lot of casual clothes at the same time and brought in the sophistication as well.”

Divided into four categories, the collection started off with the ‘Power Suits’, which showcased an array of formal suits in black, grey, white, brown and navy. This was then followed by the ‘business suits’ which emphasised on simple lines and provided a simple slim fit. The ‘Versatile Suits’ in the collection were apt for both night and day. The ‘Day Suits’ brought out the colours of the season as they teamed with bright coloured knit vests and sporty checked shirts. “This particular line is interesting as the suit can be worn even over denims to get that casual sophistication,” said David.

The showstopper of the day was Rahul Bose, who walked the ramp in khaki pants, white shirt and a striking blue jacket. “I love wearing clothes that are both comfortable and casual. I loved these clothes because they have actually kept the various sizes in mind, it matters especially for a short guy like me,” he adds. The fashion show soon ended on a light note with Rahul having a fun chat with David. An impromptu quiz was hosted by Rahul. Autographed rugby balls were given away to the winners.
