As soon as Mumbai Indians' side hit the ground in the evening, accredited journalists and photographers made desperate efforts to get a peek into the practice session of the Sachin Tendulkar-led side, only to be shooed away by DDCA office bearers and police officials.

While the camera persons ran from pillar to post to get permission from DDCA officials to cover the session even as Mumbai Indians went about their business for nearly two hours without their captain and senior India batsman Tendulkar, who was in Chennai for the opening ceremony.

When contacted, DDCA officials claimed ignorance and passed the buck to  BCCI. "We can't have any say in this issue as we have been asked by the BCCI officials not to allow lensmen from covering the practice session,” they said.
