Corruption is affecting the legislature, executive, judiciary and civil society and hence shaking the very pillars of democracy.

With Anna Hazare’s fast, voices against corruption are getting stronger. This meet is a call for strengthening the civil society and for merging the voices of critics against violation of human rights, said Dr Noronha.

“Anna Hazare’s fast can be called as a second freedom struggle. The country has awaken and its time to organise a massive fight against corruption,” said Coastal Karnataka Fisherman Action Committee General Secretary Vasudev Boloor.

Kannada Sahitya Parishat former President Harikrishna Punanoor said that the Lokpal Bill should be implemented soon, marking the fight against corruption.
