CM violates poll code, alleges Poojary

Last Updated 10 April 2011, 15:52 IST

Threatening voters that their constituency will not be developed if they don’t vote for BJP, is a cheap trick played by the party, he said and regretted that Election Commission has not taken action against them.

Coming down heavily on Operation Kamala, Poojary alleged that BJP is trying to weaken the opposition by buying the MLAs by paying crores. As the MLAs have spoken against the party, nearly 11 MLAs and 5 independent MLAs membership has been cancelled. The CM has tried to disqualify the membership of 30 MLAs, he added.

The High Court stay order in favour of Yeddyurappa does not mean that he is innocent. People are already fed up with corrupt politics and in case BJP wins in the assembly elections, it’s a win for corruption, he said.

Poojary also challenged the CM to resign if BJP loses in even one constituency in the up-coming by-poll elections.
