Murphy's death certificate altered

Murphy, who died of cardiac arrest linked to pneumonia and anaemia in 2009, was estranged from her father Angelo Bertolotti and Murphy's death certificate originally listed the actress paternity as unknown.

Bertolotti, who divorced Murphy's mother when the actress was just two years old, is named as her father on her birth certificate following which he lodged an appeal for her death certificate to be altered, reports contactmusic.com.

According to tmz.com, his name has now been added to the document after he showed proof of identification, at the Los Angeles County Registrar.
