I am concerned about our team's batting, says dejected Sehwag

"To win matches, we need to bat well and put up a challenging score. I am really concerned about our team's batting. Although Venugopal Rao and David Warner played well and Irfan hit a couple opf boundaries in the end, we should have scored around 165-170 in order to win the match," Sehwag told at the post-match presentation ceremony.

With the Daredevils batting lacking experience, Sehwag knows that his form will prove to be crucial if Daredevils ought to have any chance of doing well in this marathon tourney.

"I have to score runs in the coming games. May be, if I start scoring runs, we can reach 160-170 consistently," the Nawab of Najafgarh said. Sehwag praised Morne Morkel's effort as the South African fast bowler gave away only 11 runs in his four over spell.

"I am impressed with Morkel's performance. I am really not bothered about bowling performance as I feel they have done a good job." Sehwag's opposite number Shane Warne was calm even after winning the match with 10 balls to spare. Rather than rejoicing, Warne pressed on the fact that the team still needs to improve.

"We could have got them out early. These are certain things we need to work upon. Otherwise, it was a good performance from the boys. The intensity on the field was great," said the legendary spinner. "Tait bowled beautifully to set the tone in the very first over. Then Rahul also batted brilliantly," he added.

The move to promote Johan Botha up the order has been working well for the Rajasthan Royals and the skipper was effusive in his praise for the South African. "Johan Botha is a very clever cricketer. He thinks about his game. Not only batting, he has bowled and fielded well too," Warne said.

Asked about the secret of being so fit, the skipper quipped,"I just have to bowl four overs so I can't get tired. Also I have been training a lot in the gym," Warne concluded.
