For paceman Tait it's all about bowling fast

“He is a good friend and we have been together for a while. He is a hard-hitter and we will have to be careful against him,” said the Australian pacer.

Talking about the unofficial fastest ball on Indian soil, which he unleashed against Delhi Daredevils, Tait said that his game was based on speed.

“I have been plagued by injuries and now I play only T20 but I yearn for pace because my game is based on it. I was up against some very good batsmen like Virender Sehwag and Warner and knew that I could be hit but still tried to bowl with pace and I am happy that I could escape with it.”

He added, “The conditions more than the weather pose a challenge to fast bowlers in India and good performance gives you immense satisfaction.”

Former India U-19 captain Ashok Menaria who accompanied Tait at the press conference was all praise for Warne’s captaincy.

“He is great cricketer and captain. I have learnt a lot from him. Sharing the dressing with all such great players have made me learn more than from any other coach,” he said.

“But still whenever I am under pressure, I revert back to my childhood coach P. Krishnakumar,” he concluded.
