Eunuchs rob youth of gold chain, rings

Police said Naveendhar Singh from Uttar Pradesh was standing near a hotel after having liquor at a bar in Chickpet on April 6, when Akhila (23), a eunuch, who arrived in an autorickshaw managed to attract his attention.

Presuming Akhila to be a woman, Singh got into the vehicle. Akhila allegedly asked Singh to go with her till Cubbon Park and the auto driver, Umesh (27), drove towards the Vidhana Soudha.

As planned earlier, Akhila alighted near Cubbon Park and took Singh behind a bush. Soon, Kausalya (28), another eunuch, joined her.

The duo, along with Umesh, threatened Singh and robbed him of a gold chain, two finger rings, and a mobile phone.

Based on a complaint filed by Singh the next day, the police arrested the trio on Avenue Road.
