He reviewed the water distribution situation at Murphy Town, Gupta Layout and redressed the complaints pertaining to less and irregular water supply.

At Ulsoor, he suspended Vasanth, a valve man and Ravi Kumar, a sanitary worker, for not reporting for duty.

The chairman met the residents of Defence Colony, HAL II Stage, Hutting Colony, Lakshmipura, BDA Layout and New Tippasandra. He checked the bulk flow meter reading in these areas as most of the residents complained about insufficient water supply.

Block in sewage lines

Residents from Jogupalya complained about frequent block in sewage lines. Since, Jogupalya is a low-lying area, the flow of sewage is not forceful. Hence BWSSB has to use pumps to divert the sewage into sub-mains.

Ramamurthy directed the engineer concerned to maintain the four sewage pumps in working condition to ensure free flow of sewage.

The chairman also visited HAL II stage where the work related to Environment Action Plan, (EAP) Bangalore is being taken up.

He directed the engineers to complete the trunk sewer line laying work in a couple of months. At present nearly 75 percent of the work has been completed.
