JOIN USThe accused has been identified as Syed Akbar alias Akbar, 28 years, son of Syed Ameer, K N Pura at Ghousianagar in the city.
Acting on a tip off, N R Police by their Inspector K N Yeshwanthkumar apprehended Akbar when he was planning to dispose off the stolen good, near N R Circle. With his arrest all the four cases of theft registered at neighbouring Udayagiri Police Station has been solved.
Gold valuables, TV, mixie, DVD, wrist watches and stabiliser are among the valuables recovered from him.
However, his accomplice in all these cases Imtiyaz is absconding.
11 cattle rescued
Metagalli Police have rescued 11 cattle from slaughtering, arresting four on charges of smuggling the livestock for the purpose, in the city on Sunday. Razak, Shabir, Mahesh and Nayaz Shariff are those accused. They had been transporting the cattle in two tempos, when Metagalli Police team intercepted the vehicles near GRS Fantasy Park off Mysore- KRS Road. The cattle had been purchased at K R Nagar for a slaughter house in Mandi here.
A case has been registered.
Shops burgled
Miscreants have decamped with Rs 3,200 cash from two shops on Kalidasa Road in the city.
The incident came to light on Sunday morning, when the shutters of a medical shop and a garment shop was found opened. A total of ` 1,200 cash was found stolen from Medical Shop, and ` 2,000 from the garments.
Jayalakshmipuram Police have registered a case.
