CPM launches Janandolana jatha against corruption

He was speaking after inaugurating a taluk-wide janandolana jatha opposing the corruption in the Centre and State governments recently and said the Centre and the State governments were not responding to the issues like price rise of essential commodities and other burning problems.

After Yeddyurappa became chief minister he had denotified lands in and around Bangalore worth Rs 500 crore and distributed it to his children and relatives at very low rates.

Former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu created false records of forest lands and duped to the tune of crores of rupees. The State’s mines and land wealth were being looted, he alleged.

The Congress led UPA government at the Centre is not responding to people’s problems. Scams worth lakhs of crores of rupees has occurred during its regime for which it is directly responsible, he said.

The Left is waging a relentless battle by granting Rs 70,000 crore. The Centre instead had stopped the Rs 1.76 lakh crore 2G spectrum scam it could have given 35 kg race at the rate of Rs 2 per kg for two years to the citizens of the country, he said.

Party’s taluk level secretary Gandhinagar Narayanswamy presided. He urged the people to participate in large numbers at the April 19 taluk offices siege opposing the anti-people policies of the Centre and the state governments.

Malur Chalapathi sang revolution songs. K V Manjunath welcomed and M Vijayakrishna proposed a vote of thanks.
