It’s a season for graduation, with colleges across the City bidding a fond farewell to their outgoing students.

Similarly, Sambhram Academy of Management Studies recently hosted a celebration to honour its 2012 batch of students, and end their years in the college on an emotional note.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate students from MBA, MCA, BBM, BCom, BCA and BSc biotechnology courses were felicitated on behalf of the college, and treated to an evening of fun and festivity.

It was the perfect opportunity for the students to interact with each other and their faculty members one last time.

It was clearly an emotional moment for the students, who were decked out in the traditional robe-and-cap combination.

A whopping 500 students graduated on the occasion, each taking a moment to say a special farewell to their alma mater.

They were clearly enthusiastic about the next step in their careers, and many couldn’t control their emotions on the occasion.

Although the entire event was a joyous one, since the students were looking forward to the years to come, it was also tinged with regret, since many of them loathed to bid farewell to the institution, and the years of fun they had on campus.

The occasion had plenty of special guests, including Sarala Unnikrishnan, the regional director of the ICCR and M S Parthasarathi, the regional director of Indira Gandhi National Open University.

V Nagaraj, the CEO of Sambhram Group of Institutions, presided over the ceremony.
As always, the dignitaries shared a few anecdotes to encourage the students, and inspire them to pursue every single one of their dreams.

M S Parthasarathi shared with the students a specific motto, namely, ‘Plan, Participate and Lead’.

He said it would help them overcome almost every obstacle they would have to face in the years to come.

Parthasarathi also advised them not to compromise on their dreams, but to reflect on how they could achieve them.

It was definitely a moment of mixed emotions for the students.
